Imagine.
Submit.
Build.
Last year we challenged ourselves to build a smartphone hand-in-hand with our community. With over 1,000 creative entries from 47 countries, we found some incredibly talented people to work with. The best part? Our first co-created product picked up a prestigious Gold iF Design Award. Mission accomplished.
This year we have updated briefs and a new platform for your creativity : Phone (3a). From hardware to software, marketing to accessories, we'll choose four winners and help bring their ideas to life.
The project will conclude with a launch event later this year kicking off sales of Phone (3a) Community Edition.
How it works
There are four components to the Phone (3a) Community Edition Project - choose the brief that best suits your skills. Read the requirements carefully and craft your submission.
When submissions close, voting begins - our community can show support for their favourite entries, allowing our juries to see what's popular.
Our internal juries will select their favourite submission from each brief and 4 winners will be publicly announced!
Over a period of 6 months, winners will collaborate with eachother and our teams at Nothing. You'll take part in workshops, design reviews and more to bring your idea to life.
Phone (3a) Community Edition will be revealed to the world and available for purchase at the end of the 2025. All four winners will attend a launch event to celebrate their hard work!
